Paul Harvey's For What It's Worth |
Sugar cane is the big crop around here. Hence the slogan, Sugar 900.
WSWN's programming spans several genres, from urban to gospel, plus some Motown, agricultural reports, Paul Harvey, and Trading Post.
When I first heard WSWN, in the early 1970s, WSWN was a daytime-only country music/bluegrass station, distinctly different from the "modern country music" broadcast on WWOK (1260) and WGMA (1320), in Dade and Broward counties.
I sometimes listened when commuting home from college. If I was listening at sunset, I'd always enjoy hearing the song "Come Home It's Suppertime" before signoff.
The format sure has changed a lot since then!
